We were born
and burdens was borne on broad shoulders
We were not all recovered, nor discovered
because it is hard to be buried alive and then to survive
and be told that you also
are now part of the oppressed.

the confusion between
right and wrong
was written everywhere on every
wall
sang in every song
to gather strength and inspire,
We grouped and fought –
but oh what wrath our fighting
brought, from those we were setting free.
in the wilderness the Israelites wondered for forty years
We were buried for fifty, underground
without a sound or cry as to why
from the law, who saw our plight as well deserved
because We refused to serve
the law that kept us down
buried us
in plain sight
and never heard.
LOST;
law and order stood blended and bent
as We were sent underground, again,
though not the same as before, because
TRUTH
became our opened door.
